Here you can find some of my work from the past few years while studying as both an undergraduate and graduate student. Please feel free to contact me to give me feedback! I'd love to hear how you think I can improve.

Fan-FactorSee more

Fan factor mobile applicationFan-Factor is a mobile application designed to give sports fans a voice with their favorite teams. It integrates social media, sports news and statistics and converstation to inform fans of current events and daily operations within the organization. Fans are able to collectively decide on important issues and rate peer suggestions to send to administative officials to give them insight as to what the fan-base wants.

Fan-Factor was my final project to obtain my Master's degree. In order to complete my thesis work, I had to develop a design from scratch using the fundamental principles of the field derived from the coursework of the graduate program.

I continued to develop it after graduation and plan to submit a proposal to entrepreneurs. I hope to create a paradigm in the sports community when it comes to social media.

ArduinobotSee more

Arduino Rumble BotArduinobot is a custom made robot that incorporates the body and mobility of a Rumble Robot with a open source microcontroller known as Arduino. The use of an Arduino microcontroller allows designers to create high-fidelity prototypes to test product feasibility through a variety of inputs and outputs. Sensors provide the microcontroller with analog input for digital interpretation, allowing for a wide range of possibilities.

My Arduinobot is propelled by light sensors. The robot detects different variances of light and moves towards the brightest area in a room.

MoogleSee more

Moogle for Crate and Barrel Our graduate program provided ample opportunities to design in team based environments, since much of the industry practices that way. Our assignment for this particular project was to create a digital artifact that may be found within a Crate & Barrel store which would allow for loves ones to keep in touch over vast distances.

Our team strived to develop concepts that would fit naturally with the type of merchandise that the store already provided. We wanted our design to maintain an ambient home-décor demeanor while also implementing the core project objectives. We developed a mirror that had a LCD screen behind one-way glass, allowing for the device to be aesthetically pleasing, as well as transparent in nature.

Study BuddySee more

Study Buddy Mobile Application for Palm PreStudy Buddy is a mobile application meant to facilitate a learning environment for information retention. Within this application, users can familiarize themselves with subject material in order to prepare for tests or better retain vital information. Students can create their own set of questions and answers, or teachers can provide a template of inquisitive information in order to help their students better succeed.

The design was specifically made for the Palm Pre mobile environment, utilizing features that were, at the time, unique only to that phone. The application proved to be a powerful concept since mobile phones are readily available and are often with an individual during downtime, making study materials more widely available.

uReaderSee more

uReader RSS FeederuReader was among the first of my experiences developing interfaces and interactions. This was done while I was completing my undergraduate degree, in a graduate level interaction design course. The design helped me to determine my career path. I really enjoyed conceptualizing, creating and learning about user-centered design. It helped me to affirm my desire to please people through creating simplistic elegance within compelling experiences.

uReader is a customized RSS reader integrated into Mozilla Firefox to transparently keep track of websites, blogs and other online materials that the reader is interested in. We developed this RSS reader into the browser by adding a single button where you could manage your RSS subscriptions and easily keep up to date with your favorite pages through the broswer itself. We developed a template that would allow the reader to organize, manage and review the subscribed material.
